13th Annual Convoy For Kids and Cerebral Palsy Week Launch

Long description link for Trucks and familyNovita, with the support of major sponsors, Coles and BiLo Supermarkets, will conduct the 2005 Convoy for Kids on 14 August. Since the first Convoy in 1993, thousand of wheels on thousands of trucks have rolled along the streets of Adelaide, bringing visual splendour to many thousands of people who line the route to wave to the kids. Now a ‘main event’ on the calendar for the Transport Industry,  'truckies' and fleet owners take great pride in sprucing up their vehicles to join the gigantic parade. Their precious cargoes, children with disabilities, wear beaming smiles and sport smart commemorative tee shirts. In this years event old friendships will be renewed and new ones developed between children and their warm hearted trucking friends during their journey of fun and excitement. It is an event not to be missed! All funds from this major fundraiser go to Novita Children’s Services to directly support children with physical disability.

What a great day!! Many thanks to Patricia Brougham

My first Convoy was back back in 2004, I remember it was freezing cold at the Docks at Port Adelaide.
